About this event
We are surrounded by beauty here in Ohio...and Yellow Springs is a great town to live in as an artist! This is my second time exhibiting at the Emporium. The first was in collaboration with author Raymond Ruka in 2011 with the illustrations I did for ‘The Family Tree of the Rainbow’. I am delighted to have a show here again.
I paint watercolors of nature scenes from walks in Glen Helen Nature Preserve, John Bryan State Park and from our travels. I regularly paint outside (pleinair), in my studio and with other artists and groups in the region. I love COLOR and endeavor to paint scenes such that you can hear the rush of water or smell the flowers, feel the breezes.
My paintings may be found in ‘Village Artisans Gallery’ on the corner of Dayton and Corry St, seven days a week and in regional art shows. My artwork is also in homes and businesses both here in OH and various places around the country, including several watercolor commissions. You may find my illustrations on the covers of Bill Felkers’ Memoir-in-Nature books at Dark Star.
I will donate 20% of the proceeds from selected paintings to Glen Helen Nature Preserve. Glen Helen is a truly a gem and I hope this contribution will help the nature preserve thrive! Many thanks to all who have helped me thrive as an artist.
