About this event
Celebrate the first night of Chanukkah with Temple Israel in downtown Dayton!
The evening begins at 5:45 p.m. with the lighting of the first candle at Temple Israel’s outdoor menorah. Then, head inside for a warm, family-friendly Share Shabbat service led by Rabbi Karen Bodney-Halasz and Rabbi Tina Sobo, followed by a community potluck dinner featuring latkes, live entertainment, and Chanukkah fun.
Violinist Carrie Mock will bring music to both the service and dinner, and activities for adults and children will celebrate the joy and traditions of the Festival of Lights.
Join us for an evening of light, music, food, and community!
